Hardware Engineer

Status: Full Time, Employee
Career Level: Experienced (Engineer)
Location: Headquarters, RTP, NC
Education Level: BSEE or MSEE degree required

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support manufacturing for current products
  • Drive hardware selection, circuit design and PCB layout
  • Prepare hardware development plans for new products
  • Research and develop module designs to take advantage of current technology aimed to reduce module costs and enhance functionality
  • Create functional, performance, and environmental test procedures
  • Collaborate with other product teams including software, QA, marketing, sales, and support to ensure product success
  • Design emphasizing manufacture and test considerations
  • Support conformance testing
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • PCB CAD tool operation (Orcad/Altium preferred)
  • BSEE or MSEE degree required, with 3+ years related experience
  • Experience in design, debugging and analyzing analog and digital circuits
  • Experience in the design and manufacturing of consumer electronic products
  • Ability to work within a team or alone as needed

Video Server Developer

  • Video Server Developer
  • Desire experience developing and implementing software in Microsoft .NET/Visual Studio environment
  • Desire experience developing and implementing video management and distribution (DVR) applications
  • Desire experience developing and implementing streaming video applications
  • Desire experience developing and implementing wired/wireless bridged/routed networking applications
  • Desire experience developing and implementing web-based applications
  • Desire experience developing and implementing C# applications
  • Require experience developing and implementing relational database applications (SQL)
  • Require experience developing and implementing C/C++ applications
  • Require experience developing and implementing Java applications

Manufacturing Engineer

Status: Full Time, Employee
Career Level: Experienced (Engineer)
Location: Headquarters, RTP, NC
Education Level: ASEE (or BSEE preferred) degree required

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work as lead with contract manufacture (CM) in indentifying manufacturing issues and implementing solutions
  • Work with engineering to provide documentation, test equipment and product engineering support to the CM
  • Obtain production quotes from CM and review with engineering
  • Audit CM to insure IPC workmanship standards are followed
  • Be visible at each CM site to assist with scheduling, pricing and quality issues
  • Be company representative when dealing with non-conforming materials
  • All other duties as assigned by V.P. of Engineering

Qualifications

  • ASEE (or BSEE preferred) degree required, with 10+ years related experience in high volume SMT manufacturing environment
  • Expert in IPC guidelines for printed circuit boards assemblies
  • Must be a proactive problem solver who can quickly escalate issues to get results
  • Must have a good working knowledge of electrical and mechanical components
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills and a desire to communicate effectively between engineering, management and the CM
  • Must have a valid passport and willing to travel outside the United States

Engineer

Education Level: MS or PhD

This position will support research and development in machine learning, pattern recognition, statistical signal processing, and image and video processing. The position will work with other Signal Innovations Group (SIG) personnel to support MATLAB code development, documentation and data analysis for client-driven R&D programs.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent field
  • Experience with artificial intelligence techniques (such as design of decision systems, and design of sensor and resource management algorithms)
  • Experience with Bayesian statistical methods
  • Proficiency using MATLAB
  • US Citizenship
  • Self-motivated to develop skills in new technical areas and to adapt to changing program emphasis
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • An innate drive to solve challenging and unique problems
